You may or may not have seen this Wall Street Journal article that was picked up by news outlets all over the country last month. There was a security flaw in Citibank’s iPhone App that exposed its customers vital information including account numbers and PIN’s.  Citibank found the flaw and updated the App, but the entire process took a few days to rectify.

This is new territory for a lot of us that have been living under the assumption that  all of our smart phones are inherently secure. With the mHealth market and healthcare applications on the rise, whether you are a developer, integrator, or consumer make sure your healthcare Apps are truly secure… “MobiSecure” Call Diversinet to find out how we can help you or your organization.

Here is my iPhone4 front page…

I cant live without this device.  Virtually 100% of all the calls I make and receive are on my iPhone.  I’ll share with you a couple of Apps that I use everyday that can streamline the way you stay informed as to what is happening in the mHealth industry or any industry that you are interested in following.  Have you ever been reading a website or article and thought’ “I’d like to keep that.”? Here are some Apps for you:

NewsRack: NewsRack is an app that I use everyday both on the iPhone and iPad.  It is a front end to Google Reader that allows you to continually keep up with RSS feeds.  I currently track about 150 sources including 30 or so directly related to mHealth and Healthcare IT.

InstaPaper: Instapaper is an app that I run on the iPhone, iPad & Mac. It allows you to create a collection of things you want to read later or save.  Whenever you see a web article or piece of data that you want to save you just click “Read Later” and it is saved for you in IP.  I use it every day.

Evernote: Finally my favorite business app!  Evernote stays totally synced on the Mac iPad and iPhone and is the best note keeping and filing system around.  I use it to take daily notes and notes in meetings.  Its feature list is a mile long, but the beauty of EN is that wherever I am 24/7, I have every note from every meeting at my finger tips… If you are in a crucial part of a meeting and want to record what is being said you simply hit the microphone icon and you can record the meeting and EN puts an icon right at that point in your note and the recording is also available wherever you are.

I would love to hear what apps you use on a daily basis in your work life that helps you be more productive and customer centric… Enjoy!
